The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Morrowind must be the best game of the Elder Scrolls series, it has the most complex and perfectly written RPG 'story line' there is. It were released back in 2002 and it still beats all the new role play games within PC gaming, with more then 60 awards, including game of the year. The game even released and sold over two million copies of "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Special Edition Soundtrack". Later into the 2003, Bethesda Game Studios started to create a game guide for Morrowind which sold over a million copies!

And it did not stop there, two expansions were created for Morrowind as well;
The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal were released 2002, reviews gave the expansion generally positive responses from the players, and with the new content within it, event though the world to play at were not a bit bigger, it gave the player a new and fun experience into the game with new content, new spells, more story lines implanted.
Later on, into the early 2003, they released another expansion for the game called 'The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon'.

One of the key selling points for Bloomoon was its reintegration for Werewolves, players could catch on diseases and become werewolves and vampires, this gave the game a whole new role play feature for the player and another 'story line' for the character played.
October the same year that Bloodmoon got released the Collectors Edition got released for Morrowind, and it made it possible to play Morrowind on the Xbox.

If you really like Role Play Games, or just Fantasy games with a lot of features, Morrowind is a must.
There is not one RPG who can match up against the complex and the perfectly written and designed role play that Morrowind got.

Heavenly - Power Metal From France!

Heavenly

Heavenly are a great power metal band, one of my favorites in the genre actually, but they are not even close to beat Blind Guardian, in any way, even if their singer Benjamin Sotto got the best vocals I have ever heard, with his very light and 'shrill' voice. He sings a lot of different when comparing with other bands of the same genre, instead of having a mix between harsh and clean vocals, Heavenly goes straight out with only clean, strong and light voices. A good example for this is the song 'Farewell' made by Heavenly, were his light voice really reaches the top and goes straight forward into a 'shrill'.

Even though Heavenly are a great band with a great singer, whom can sing like no one else can, they never really become very popular outside France, they have won one award within France; 2001 Best French Band Award - Hard Rock Magazine,
Even though it was 2001, they still make music even today, they recently released a new album named "Carpe Diem" from 2009-1218.
And on their official website they say they will play live with Scorpions within the France tour.

Let's just hope that this great band will become more known outside France aswell!

Blind Guardian - At the edge of time.

Blind Guardian - At The Edge Of Time
Since I have always liked Blind Guardian and their music, I had to review their latest album.
All their 'main-albums' are very good, even the project "Demons & Wizards" when the singer of Blind Guardian joined up with Iced Earth were epic. Whatever Hansi Kursch(Singer) do, he makes it good.

There's not one singer who can sing as strong and with this much power that Hansi got in his voice withing power/speed/epic-metal. He even beats Dio in my ears.
A good comparison may be the song "Don't Talk To Strangers" which is very good done by both Dio and Blind Guardian. Though, Hansi's voice beats Dio's by far.
Hansi's voice is much stronger, and he uses some harsh vocals to mix with his clean voice.

Though, Blind Guardians latest album "At The Edge Of Time" was a disappointment for me, the vocals is not as powerfull anymore. If you compare the change in the vocals from "Tales From The Twilight World" the latest album is worthless.
Though, it still contains Hansi's good harsh vocals.

Nothing will ever beat Hansi within the Power Metal genre. Never.

- Two Worlds II -

Two Worlds II

I have been reading a lot about this game, and I have seen trailers, pictures, screenshots and fan arts, and I found it to be very good looking with the 'new' kind of graphics they have been using within this game, from what I saw on the screenshots and in-game videos that is.

So I decided to buy the game and try it out myself.

After finishing the installation I started the game and began a new game. Everything starts with customizing your character, you can't change a lot, only the basic physics on the guy you are going to play as.
The game starts with a intro, a video, which explains who you are as the character and what your goal are in the game. The intro finishes and it's finally time to play, the game explains the basic controls on how to walk and how to look around.

Though, after approximately six or seven minutes into the game you have to pick up a weapon to fight with.
The game tells you how to pick it up and then it says "Equip the weapon".
This is were I got my first problem with the game; 'How' I wondered, how to equip the weapon?
I looked around the keyboard and tried multiple keys that 'normally' opens the inventory such as "I", "B" "TAB".

Though none did work. I had to check the manual / Keyboard settings to find out that "F4" opens the inventory.

In my opinion I would like that the game explains how to do such things and that, I, as the player should not have to pause in the middle of the game just to get a key explained out of the game.
I continued my journey in the game and I realized that more keys were not explained such as how to open the spell book, nor did they explain how to use and upgrade spells. I had to look it all up in the keyboard interface settings.
It started to annoy me that every time I learned to do a new thing inside the game, I had to check the settings in the game to learn how to open the interface panel for it.

And about 40-50 minutes into the game, the graphics began to get annoying. the graphics in the game looks really good, though it's too blurry. My eyes started to hurt after one hour playing.

Blurry View, not just only in moonlight, it's this blurry the whole game.

+ Good story.
+ Good looking graphics.
- Too Blurry
- Important keys is not explained in the game.
- Too many 'sexual' scenes.
- Too many scantily clad women.
